Our HABITAT cabins are set on pristine farm land which has been used to graze Denmark cattle for decades and still today there are a small herd of grass fed (Herefod or Angus) helping to manage the land sustainably, keeping the pasture healthy while guests enjoy peaceful views of the grazing herd.
The remoteness of HABITAT, being just off Lights Road was its advantage and allowed the idea of really being “off grid” and living as sustainable and self sufficient as possible. Every effort is made to live an eco-friendly lifestyle at the HABITAT cabins.
Being designed by a local architect ensured the chalets would be designed to maximise ventilation in the summer and minimise heating in the winter, and built to the highest quality ensuring the guests will be comfortable in all seasonal conditions.
The properties are designed to capture maximum sun via solar panels and store this energy in batteries allowing all year and even has capacity to charge your EV / PHEV.
Large rain water tanks are onsite, with water being filtered before being used for each cabin.
